US stocks mixed, EUR and CHF plummet

FXStreet (Córdoba) - Equities in the US were trading mixed after Yellen’s speech and amid new tensions in Ukraine. European markets finished with losses. In the currency market, Janet Yellen words boosted the US dollar that erased losses and climbed to fresh 2014 highs versus the Euro and the Swiss Franc, that were the worst performers so far on Friday.

Gold was rising modestly, trading around $1,280/oz after being able to hold above yesterday’s lows. Crude oil was falling 0.40% with the barrel around $93.50.
