UK: Retail Price Index up 0.4% in January

UK Retail Price Index rose 0.4% in January, down from the 0.5% increase registered the previous month, National Statistics revealed today. Market experts predicted a 0.5% fall.

On an annual basis UK Retail Price Index climbed 3.3%, after growing 3.1% and almost in line with the projected 3.2% increase.
